Family Lineage
Late Dr. A. S. Kanade (Dad)Dr. A. S. Kanade was a Principal of Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science (4 star college) based in the South Goa district of Margao, on the west coast of India.
He obtained his Ph.D in Polymer Chemistry. He was an academician with several scientific research publications in Industrial, Polymer, Organic and Allied Chemistry subject areas. He has presented some of his prominent research work at Kyoto University, Japan in the 1990s. He has authored numerous Industrial and Polymer Chemistry books for B.Sc and M.Sc curriculum, which are used even today at the Bombay University.
Besides, his father (my grandfather) had served in the British Indian Army during the British Raj in India before independence in 1947. Dr. Kanade carried this legacy forward - he served as a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Wing of NCC (National Cadet Corps) for 17 years. While in the ranks, he was awarded a Gold Medal under Best Cadet (Navy Wing) category. In addition, he has played a pivotal role as an eminent member of the NAAC committee.

Mrs. Jaya A. Kanade has been into the teaching profession for over 28 years and has taken VRS lately. She has worked as a Teacher and a Professor at various institutes – right from schools to colleges. During her tenure, she also served as a moderator and examiner for the Maharashtra State Board.
She is an ardent writer and has written plenty articles for local newspapers like Sakal, Maharashtra Times to name a few. She has authored a couple of books (Marathi) too. Deep down, she is a spiritual seeker and a social activist.
She continues to lead an active life with several spiritual activities that keep her calendar blocked for months on end.
